AL-Maliki Receives the Ambassador of The Republic of Turkey Alireza Konay

The head of the state of Law Coalition, Nouri Al-Maliki, called on, Sunday, for the continuation of dialogue between political forces to resolve problems in accordance with the Constitution and the law.
 
Media Office of the head of the state of Law coalition, said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that " Al-Maliki ,received in his office today , the ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Iraq Alireza Konay”, indicating that" the two sides reviewed bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to strengthen them in the interest of the two neighboring countries, and discussed the latest political and security situations in the region and the continuation of the Zionist aggression on the Gaza Strip”.
 
Al-Maliki stressed that" the Zionist entity has gone too far in its aggression against unarmed innocents in the Gaza Strip and the Islamic countries must stand up to this aggression”, calling on “the international community to abandon its positions in the equality between the murderer and the victim", the statement added.
 
Al-Maliki said that " Iraq is preparing to contest local elections to elect local governments capable of meeting the requirements of the Iraqi people," calling for "the need to continue dialogue between all political forces to resolve existing problems in accordance with the Constitution and the law in order to maintain stability and complete the process of political and economic construction in the country” ,the statement added.
 
For his part, Konay stressed on “his country's desire to expand the horizons of cooperation with Iraq, coordinate positions on issues of interest to Islamic peoples, foremost of which is the Palestinian issue, solidarity and standing with the Palestinian people".
