Minister of Migration and Displacement Ivan Faiq Jabro announced on Wednesday, the return of 111 IDPs to their homes in Salah al-Din.
Jabro said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency INA, that "111 IDPs from the Arbat camp in Sulaymaniyah province have been returned to their original areas of residence in the Yathrib of Balad district in Salah al-Din province," noting that "this came within the ministry's plan to end the displacement file in the country and in line with the government program."
Jabro stressed that "the government pays special attention to the file of the voluntary return of the displaced to their areas of origin, as well as providing them with all facilities and the requirements of a decent life for the returning families."
She pointed out that "the ministry's field teams continue to register displaced families who wish to return voluntarily in coordination with local governments."
