Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani affirmed, today, Saturday, the government’s commitment to providing the necessary treatment and care for all segments of chronic diseases.
The Prime Minister’s Media Office said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani received a delegation from the Diabetes Children’s Care Association, accompanied by a number of children with diabetes from Baghdad and other provinces,” noting, “ At the beginning of the meeting, the Prime Minister affirmed the government’s commitment, within its program and work priorities, to the health sector, and to providing the necessary treatment, care, and follow-up for all segments of chronic diseases, especially children with diabetes.
Al-Sudani indicated, according to the statement, “giving priority in social research and inclusion in social protection to this category of children, in accordance with Cabinet Resolution (23528) stipulating that they be included in the salary of a full-time employee, with the exception of the disability rate, as well as their inclusion in the social protection salary, as their requests exceeded 1,000 applications until now".
Al-Sudani reviewed "the association's work in providing moral and material support, and listened to its most prominent requirements and the needs of children and their families in providing supplies and treatments. He directed the concerned authorities to facilitate the association's work and provide its needs, as it represents humanitarian volunteer work that has its status.".
