The Cabinet Secretariat issues a clarification regarding the “Gender”

Today, Wednesday, the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers issued a clarification regarding the “Gender”.
 
The secretariat said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), “The form circulated on social media sites bearing the term ‘gender’, issued by the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, with an old date based on a memorandum of understanding signed between the General Secretariat and the United Nations in 2018, is annually sent to the ministries for the purpose of updating the database.
 
 According to the statement "On July 27, 2023, the secretariat issued a circular including the directive to use the terms 'male and female', in accordance with the constitution and the religious and moral values of our Iraqi society, and prohibiting the use of the term gender."
