The Minister of Migration and Displaced Persons MOMD, Ivan Faiq Jabro announced on Tuesday , the return of 170 Yazidi IDPs from the Sharya camp in Dohuk to their original areas of residence in Sinjar district.
Jabro said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "170 displaced Yazidis voluntarily returned from the Sharya camp in Dohuk governorate to their original areas of residence in Sinjar district and its districts and villages in Nineveh Governorate, in coordination with the security forces and local governments in the two governorates and the command of joint operations to secure their return”.
Jabro added that" the returnees have been transferred their furniture from the camp to their areas of origin in coordination with the International Organization for Migration (IOM) ", pointing out that "the returnees upon arrival in their areas of Origin will be covered with durable goods and relief assistance”.
"The next few days will see another voluntary return of displaced people from the Dohuk camps to their areas in Sinjar", Jabro said.
