Iraq and France discuss situations in Gaza

Speaker of the Parliament, Muhammed al-Halbousi, and the French Ambassador to Iraq, Eric Chevalier, discussed on Monday, developments in the situation in the Gaza Strip and the humanitarian crisis.

“Al-Halbousi received Chevalier and discussed bilateral relations, strengthening cooperation between the two countries, as well as the importance of proceeding with the strategic partnership agreement signed between the Iraqi and French governments," according to a statement by the media office of the Speaker of the Parliament, received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.

The statement included, "The meeting discussed developments in the situation in the Gaza Strip, the humanitarian crisis, and stressed the need for the international community to work to stop the war and bring in relief aid."
