Salah al-Din Police works to impose prestige of state and rule of law in the province: Police Commander

    Salah al-Din Police Command counted on Sunday, its achievements, with the support of Interior Minister Abdul Amir Al-Shammari, during the current year 2023, and while announcing its reinforcement with (1820) volunteers, it indicated that the arrest warrants executed for the current year exceeded 7 thousand.

     

    Police Commander Maj. Gen. Qandil Khalil Mohammed al-Jubouri told the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "Based on the directives of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and the Minister of Interior, the Salah al-Din Police Command is working to impose the prestige of the state and the rule of law in the province, through unlimited support to the Ministry of Interior, represented by logistical support by supporting the police command with modern vehicles, modern weapons, in addition to human resources of new personnel, to compensate for the martyrs and those who suffered a disability.”

     

    He pointed out that "the Minister of Interior gave support to the members of the police command, and police personnel in the field, to carry out their tasks, through the presence of legal immunity and taking all legal measures, which fortify the police command, confirming that "This unlimited support from the Ministry of Interior enabled us to implement the ministry's program of paying attention to the completion of investigative papers, which are the subject of the rights of citizens, whether they are affected by terrorist operations or the implementation of other citizens' rights.”

    He pointed to " according to the directives of the Ministry of Interior, attention was being paid to police stations by supporting the infrastructure program, through the Directorate of Infrastructure at the Ministry of Interior, in addition to processing and archiving all investigative cases of citizens, within police stations, and activating the complaint card system."

    He continued that “There are also great achievements in various police stations, represented by the activities of the Directorate of Emergency Regiments, as (170) wanted persons were arrested according to various articles, and (48) arrest warrants were issued in accordance with Article 4 terrorism, and the provincial police command was able to seize (41) vehicles carrying various prohibited materials, and (683) explosive devices were found.

    Al-Jubouri revealed that "there is great interest by the Minister of Interior, with the support of Salah al-Din Governorate, by securing the external checkpoints confirming that "the Anti-Crime Department of Salah al-Din carried out arrest warrants against (603) convicts, and the implementation of a life sentence on (177) convicts.”

    ​"In terms of infrastructure, there is great support for the Ministry of Interior, as five main police stations have been established in the province at the current stage, and there is also a programme to establish stations on the border with the provinces," he said, stressing that "the Salah al-Din Police Command, based on the directives of the Ministry of Interior, is currently seeking to receive the security file and generally works in accordance with human rights standards, community support, and law enforcement."
