Sheikh al-Khazali: Iraq's position is firm regarding the Palestinian issue

The Secretary-General of the Asaib Ahl al-Haq movement, Sheikh Qais al-Khazali, confirmed on Sunday, that Iraq’s position is firm regarding the fateful issues of the nation, most notably the Palestinian issue.

Sheikh al-Khazali office said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), “The Secretary-General of the Asaib Ahl al-Haq movement, Sheikh Qais Khazali, received in his office in Baghdad a delegation from the Hamas movement, which included the leader of the movement, Osama Hamdan, and Muhammad al-Hafi, a member of the Office of Arab and Islamic Relations and their accompanying delegation."

The statement added, "During the meeting, the most important developments taking place in the Gaza Strip, the steadfastness of the resistance, and the bravery of its men in confronting the most violent attack carried out by the usurping occupation entity were reviewed."

Sheikh al-Khazali affirmed, “Iraq’s position in general, and the resistance factions in particular, is firm toward the crucial issues of the Islamic nation, most notably the Palestinian issue."

For its part, the delegation of the Islamic Resistance in Hamas thanked Sheikh al- Khazali for his positions in support of the issues of oppressed and resistant peoples, including the Palestinian people.
