Iraq's Rashid Meets Australia's Ambassador

 The president of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, stressed on, Sunday, President Rashid stressed the importance of Iraq-Australia relations and the necessity for them to be strengthened and developed in areas of mutual interest in a manner that is mutually beneficial for both nations.

A statement by the presidency of the republic’s Media Office, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that “The president of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, received at Baghdad Palace, the Australian ambassador to Iraq Paula Ganley to mark the end of her duties in Baghdad ".

During the meeting, The President Of The Republic stressed " the importance of Iraq-Australia relations and the necessity for them to be strengthened and developed in areas of mutual interest in a manner that is mutually beneficial for both nations ".

Iraq's Rashid expressed his gratitude to the Ambassador for her commitment to furthering the friendship between Iraq and Australia. In addition, he wished her the best of luck in her future endeavors.

Having served as ambassador to Iraq in recent years, Paula Ganley expressed her pride in the role and expressed her country's interest in strengthening bilateral ties.
