A statement by the Prime Minister’s Media Office, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that “The Prime Minister, received, the Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Iraq, Mr. Sultan Mubarak Khalifa Al Kubaisi”.
The statement added that “The meeting discussed bilateral relations between the two nations, regional challenges, and the enhancement of mutual cooperation. This included the signing of several memorandums of understanding in the energy and investment sectors”.
The statement also added that “The Qatari Ambassador delivered an invitation from His Highness Prince Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani to Prime Minister Al-Sudani, inviting him to participate in the upcoming Doha Forum in December”.
The statement explained that “The meeting involved a discussion on the Israeli aggression against Gaza and the deteriorating situation in the region, particularly after the tightening of the siege by the occupying authorities, which has deprived civilians of their fundamental human rights”.
According to the statement, PM Al-Sudani highlighted “The imperative of swift coordination among Arab and international parties to stop the aggression and establish safe, humanitarian corridors for delivering aid to the people of Gaza. They are enduring an unjust blockade and facing worsening humanitarian and health conditions”.
