Al-Sudani Participates in 'Iron Hammer' Tactical Exercise with 9th Armored Division in Iraqi Army

    Media Office of the Prime Minister said in a statement on Thursday, received by the Iraqi News Agency INA that “The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Prime Minister Mohammed S. Al-Sudani, attended, this morning, the “Iron Hammer” tactical exercise, which was carried out by the Ground Forces Command/9th Armored Division in the Iraqi Army, with the participation of the Army Aviation, Air Defense, and Air Force Command.”
     
    The statement stated that “ the prime minister commended the precision and dedication exhibited by the military forces during the tactical exercise, highlighting the significance of their ongoing preparedness and training.”
     
    According to the statement, “Prime Minister Al-Sudani emphasized the need to maintain this high level of readiness through continuous training, ensuring that Iraqi army units are well-prepared to confront diverse challenges.”
     
    It also stated that Al-Sudani emphasized the significance of these activities and their continuous nature. He underscored the importance of defining training programs and called for military inspectorates to assess the training activities to ensure their professional and high-quality execution, emphasizing the government's commitment to enhancing the armament of the army and other security services, acknowledging the historical lack of necessary equipment. He assured that practical and effective measures would be taken to rectify this situation, ensuring that all Iraqi forces receive state-of-the-art weaponry through the establishment of committees and the initiation of contracts with various entities.”
     
    The statement concluded saying that “Prime Minister Al-Sudani directed the security leaders to remain vigilant and to continue pursuing the remnants of ISIS terrorist gangs, who are actively seeking opportunities to disrupt stability in different regions.”
