SJC announces recovering “775” million dinars in financial and administrative corruption

The Supreme Judicial Council SJC announced recovering "775" million dinars in cases of financial and administrative corruption.

SJC said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), on Thursday, that "the presidency of the Baghdad Karkh Court of Appeal / Karkh Second Investigation Court specialized in integrity issues recovered the amount of (775) million Iraqi dinars in implementation of the directives of the Supreme Judicial Council on the need to recover the amounts of financial and administrative corruption cases."
 
The statement also said that "The amount was paid as a bribe in exchange for transferring projects to a number of companies in Baghdad province, where the amount was recovered after conducting due process investigations with the defendants charged with bribery.”
