A bribed employee in Muthanna Municipality Department arrested: INSS

The Iraqi national security service INSS announced, on Wednesday, the arrest of a paid employee in the municipal Department of Muthanna governorate, while pointing out that the accused made a bargain with one of the auditors in the amount of (18) million dinars in exchange for extinguishing the debts incurred by him.
 
A statement by INSS, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), said that "based on confirmed intelligence information that an employee in the municipality of Muthanna province bargained with one of the auditors for a financial amount of (18) million dinars in exchange for extinguishing the debts incurred by him in the municipality department amounting to (40) million dinars, an ambush was planned to arrest the said accused after obtaining judicial approvals, and he was arrested red-handed while receiving the required amount".
 
"The accused has been referred to the competent judicial authorities to receive his fair punishment in accordance with the law," the statement added.
