The Deputy Head of the Baptist Hospital in Gaza, Fadi Dhiyab, confirmed today, Wednesday, that the death of hundreds in the bombing of the hospital is “very heartbreaking,” indicating that the hospital will resume its services on Thursday.
Fadi Dhiyab said, in a television interview, “We are still in shock from what happened on Tuesday evening, as the incident is tragic by all standards and the human mind cannot imagine it.
He explained, "The final death toll will be released soon, but it is initially between 450 and 500 victims, including martyrs and wounded."
"The hospital was founded a century ago and is charitable and non-profit, and provides services to people in the Gaza Strip," noting, "The hospital stopped providing its services today, but will return to service tomorrow." Dhiyab said.
He pointed out that "hundreds were taking shelter in the hospital from bombing in other places, and we have no knowledge of any actions or activities around the hospital."
