The Palestinian Ministry of foreign affairs and expatriates condemned the actions of the Israeli occupation army in the Gaza Strip, describing the use of internationally prohibited weapons and cutting off essential supplies as genocide against Palestinians.

A statement issued by the ministry, followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), said that "it condemns in the strongest terms the crimes of the occupation against our people in the Gaza Strip, which are committed by Israel and uses internationally prohibited weapons, including phosphorous, cluster weapons and others, and affects everything in the Gaza Strip and has led to the martyrdom of 1055 citizens and more than 5184 wounded".

The statement added that "the crimes of murder, destruction and displacement mean that the occupying state is committing the crime of genocide against Palestinian citizens in the Gaza Strip, in light of a frenzied campaign of starvation and cutting off supplies of basic needs to unarmed civilian citizens in the most heinous forms of collective punishment such as cutting off electricity, water, medicines, fuel and others.

It added that the occupation forces "exploit the stand of some countries with them under the pretext of self-defense to commit the most heinous forms of crimes and implement pre-prepared plans to end the Palestinian cause and replace the culture and logic of peace with the culture of war and the will of force".

The Palestinian Foreign Ministry accused Israel of ignoring the positions of "some countries that direct their demands to the occupying power to comply with international law," reiterating its demand for urgent international action to stop this war and secure the entry of the basic needs of our people in the Gaza Strip urgently, in addition to activating the international protection system for the Palestinian people.
