Iraq , France discuss bilateral cooperation at the military level

    Chief of Staff of the Army, Special Forces Lieutenant General Abdul Amir Rashid Yarallah, and his French counterpart Thierry Boucard,, discussed on Tuesday bilateral cooperation at the military level.

    The Ministry of Defense said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that “at the official invitation of Thierry Boucard, Chief of Staff of the French Army,the Chief of Staff of the Army, Lieutenant General Abdul Amir Rashid Yarallah, visited the State of France, accompanied by a high-level military delegation, They were received in Paris by his French counterpart and a number of military commanders."

    The statement added, "The visit discussed and discussed aspects of bilateral cooperation at the military level with regard to developing all types of the Iraqi army with modern weapons and equipment, and learning about French capabilities that serve the requirements of our armed forces."

    For his part, the Army Chief of Staff thanked him for the good reception, praising "the French position towards the Iraqi government and people, especially during the liberation battles, whether on the military or humanitarian level."

    While the French side praised "the capabilities of the Iraqi army and its efforts to defeat terrorism."
