Al-Sudani emphasizes the government's strong commitment to the healthcare sector, which has been a top priority since the beginning

    Prime Minister Mohammed S. Al-Sudani inaugurated on Saturday the first phase of the rehabilitation and development of the Central Teaching Hospital of Pediatrics in Baghdad.
     
    “Prime Minister Mohammed S. Al-Sudani inspected various departments and wards of the Central Teaching Hospital of Pediatrics during his visit, and he also interacted with the hospital's staff and listened to the feedback and needs of the citizens. He instructed officials to expedite the subsequent phases of the hospital's rehabilitation project,” stated the Media Office of the Prime Minister in a statement, received by the Iraqi News Agency-INA.
     
     
    “Prime Minister Mohammed S. Al-Sudani emphasized the government's strong commitment to the healthcare sector, which has been a top priority since the beginning. He highlighted various rehabilitation and reconstruction projects undertaken in multiple hospitals, both in Baghdad and other governorates. These efforts involve collaborations between state-owned companies and private sector entities to enhance healthcare infrastructure,” the statement added.
     
    “Prime Minister Mohammed S. Al-Sudani highlighted the significance of the Central Teaching Hospital of Pediatrics, equipped with 400 beds and 12 specialties. He assured that the government is committed to supplying the hospital with specialized doctors and necessary equipment to support the tireless efforts of healthcare professionals in delivering quality medical services. He emphasized the substantial improvement in healthcare services thanks to ongoing funding and careful oversight, ensuring comprehensive care for citizens,” the statement continued.
     
    The hospital rehabilitation project, a first of its kind since this hospital establishment, was completed in three stages. The first phase included the rehabilitation of the western wing, encompassing five departments: internal medicine, hematology, NICU, nephrology, psychiatric diseases, and the emergency room unit. This stage added 146 beds and saw the improvement of the administrative department, reception lobby, and other supporting facilities.
