Al-Maliki offers condolences to families of Al-Hamdaniya victims, calls for an urgent investigation

The head of the state of Law Coalition, Nouri al-Maliki, extended on Wednesday, condolences to the families of the victims of the tragic accident in Hamdaniya district, calling for an immediate investigation in order to diagnose the malfunction and hold the negligent accountable.
 
Al-Maliki said, in a blog post on website x, followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "we received with great sorrow and sadness the news of the tragedy that shook Al-Hamdaniya district in Nineveh Governorate yesterday evening, because of the fire that occurred in an event hall, and led to the fall of many victims and injured.
 
He added," in front of this painful tragedy, we express our condolences, sympathy and solidarity with the families of the victims of the tragic accident, wishing a speedy recovery to the injured, "praising "the efforts of Civil Defense men, the security services and the popular mobilization forces, and all the popular efforts to support in the face of the fire.

Al-Maliki called "to conduct an immediate investigation in order to diagnose the defect and hold the defaulters accountable, and ensure that such tragedies do not happen again".
