Media Office of the Prime Minister stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency INA that “Prime Minister Mohammed S. Al-Sudani participated in a celebration hosted by the Sunni Endowment Diwan to commemorate the birth anniversary of the Great Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him.”
The statement added that “During his speech on the occasion, Prime Minister Al-Sudani emphasized the significance of reflecting on the teachings of Prophet Muhammad and the noble humanitarian values he left behind. He underscored the importance of integrating these values into all aspects of work and public service, with the goal of promoting community unity and brotherhood, ultimately seeking the satisfaction of both the Almighty God and the people.”
The statement conveyed the highlights of Al-Sudani’s speech which stipulate “We extend our congratulations to the Islamic world on the auspicious occasion of the birth anniversary of the Master of the Prophets and Messengers, Muhammad bin Abdullah (peace be upon him).”
PM Al-Sudani said in the statement that “The birth of the prophet constituted a pivotal event in Arab and Islamic history, the Messenger of God, throughout his life, embodied qualities of righteousness, honesty, love, and mercy. His exemplary character elevated his standing among his people, making him a role model for all virtues.”
The prime minister stated that “His blessed teachings of mercy made him a source of solace and healing for the souls of the less fortunate, the weary, and the oppressed, his moral, social, and spiritual approach extended beyond the confines of abstract doctrine.”
Al-Sudani also said that “He instilled in people's hearts the path to building a humane society, promoting compassion, love, and the creation of a society where everyone's dignity is preserved, creating a thriving human society involves establishing the conditions that enable all individuals to live with dignity and pride.”
He pointed out that “The Holy Prophet (PBUH) elevated the importance of work as a foundational pillar of a prosperous society, and this path remains the best path for us to contribute to society's well-being, if we want to emulate the life of our Noble Messenger, we must be responsible and honest in establishing the foundations of truth and justice and providing equal opportunities for all citizens.”
Al-Sudani confirmed that “Our country faced a severe onslaught with foreign agendas intervening, seeking to sow the poisonous seeds of discord and sectarianism, with the unity of Iraqis, we successfully navigated the challenging period following the changes in 2003 when sectarian violence plagued our nation.”
He also said that “It was a momentous challenge when terrorist gangs infiltrated our northern and western provinces, subjecting the people to brutal crimes perpetrated by ISIS, Iraqis, regardless of their religious beliefs or ethnic backgrounds, stood together on the frontlines to liberate their land and people. Their noble sacrifice created one of the most remarkable chapters in history.”
The prime minister said “today, it is the shared responsibility of all of us to preserve this sense of community, love and brotherhood, as a government, we have committed ourselves to serving all Iraqis, irrespective of their affiliations, by ensuring a decent life for every citizen and safeguarding their security and dignity.”
He affirmed that “We will not permit those who thrive on division and conflict to sow their seeds of evil among us, religious leaders and intellectuals must promote a unified discourse that does not spread the poison of sectarianism or repugnant racism.”
Al-Sudani confirmed that “Belonging to the Great Messenger (peace be upon him) provides a profound opportunity for unity and love, encompassing all the values, morals, and virtues that he embodies.”
