Local elections… IHEC clarifies the details of simulation scheduled for tomorrow

    Independent High Electoral Commission (IHEC) clarified On Sunday, details of the simulation planned for Monday in preparation for the local elections scheduled for the end of this year, while highlighting what was discussed at the last meeting of the High Electoral Security Commission.

    The head of the media team at the Commission, Imad Jamil, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "the process will be held in 906 centers, with one station in each center for general voting in all governorates."

    He added, "It will be held in 22 special voting stations throughout Iraq, including 3 special voting stations in the National Office."

    Regarding the proceedings of the last meeting of the Supreme Security Committee for Elections, Jamil explained that “the meeting discussed the plan to transport logistical materials for polling centers from airports to regional warehouses and then distribute them to provincial offices, it also discussed the plan to secure polling centers, which number more than 6,000 locations throughout Iraq."
