Minister of Commerce Atheer Daoud Al-Ghurairi announced the aim of building a database for beneficiaries of the ration e-card system.
“Al-Ghurairi met in his office today with the Regional Director of the World Food Program, Corinne Wallischer, and her accompanying delegation, to discuss the observations on the electronic transformation project for the ration card in Iraq and the mechanisms for moving to training staff capable of receiving the project and work on it according to the specified time frame," said the Ministry of Trade Media Office in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.
During the meeting, the stages of the project's work were reviewed, the completion rates achieved in the governorates in which the project was launched, and the challenges facing the ministry and the program in general.
Al-Ghurairi explained that “we aspire for our work mechanism in the ration e-card project to meet the requirements of the current and next stage in targeting eligible classes while providing solid data that gives flexibility to develop simplified filtering to boycott data with other government sectors.”
"The Ministry is following with great interest the completion of the implementation of the program because of its role in directing the ration card to those who deserve it to improve its materials in quantity and quality," he explained.
In turn, Wallischer stressed the program’s keenness to complete the project according to its plans to help the government provide funds for the purpose of transferring them to more needed matters, stressing that the project will be completed at a rapid pace to be a brilliant experience to be emulated over the years in other countries.
