Austria's Foreign Minister, Alexander Schallenberg announced on Tuesday the reopening of Austria embassy in Baghdad.
Schallenberg said during a joint press conference with Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein in Baghdad that, "His visit came at the invitation of Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein to reopen the Austrian embassy in Baghdad and to discuss a number of political, economic, and security files."
He confirmed that the two countries are set to conclude an agreement related to internal security in Iraq,” noting that “this agreement must take its proper role.”
Schallenberg affirmed Iraq's "pivotal role" in the region's stability, and his visit came to enhance the relation with Iraq in numerous fields.
