Iraq offers condolences to Libya for the death rates in the floods of Derna

The Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its condolences to the State of Libya for the death of a number of citizens as a result of the floods that struck the city of Derna.

"the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expresses its sincere condolences and solidarity with the brotherly country of Libya, following the floods that struck the city of Derna, and resulted in the death of a number of citizens and the injury of others," stated the ministry, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.

The statement included, "We express our solidarity with the government and people of the brotherly state of Libya, praying to God Almighty for mercy for the victims, and speedy recovery and safety for the injured."
