SMC: Security situations in Kirkuk is stable

The Security Media Cell - SMC confirmed that the security conditions throughout Kirkuk Governorate are stable.

"Some social media sites circulated news about the instability of the security situation in Kirkuk Governorate, and here we confirm that the security conditions throughout Kirkuk Governorate are stable and there are no events that disturb the peace of life there," according to a statement by SMC, received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.

The statement included, “Whoever promotes such incorrect news is trying to mix up the cards,” indicating that "the people of this governorate were and still are distinguished by peaceful coexistence among themselves, as we witness that there is complete cooperation between the citizens and the security forces in this generous governorate, which is the symbol of the unity of our dear homeland."

"The preservation of security and service is important in Kirkuk and the rest of the country's governorates," included the statement, calling "for accuracy in transferring information and knowing the facts from their official sources, and for everyone at all levels to stand with the unity, interest, and stability of Iraq."
