Aoun Dhiab, the Minister of Water Resources, announced a meeting with the Turkish side on the water share in February and confirmed on Tuesday that the water situation in Iraq is acceptable and problem-free at the moment.

"Iraq is in constant contact with the Turkish side regarding its water share, in addition to the ministry's follow-up of the water shares that flow across the border, whether in the Tigris and Euphrates rivers," the Minister of Water Resources told the Iraqi News Agency (INA).

He emphasized that "the water situation and the water we receive from the Turkish side is acceptable, and there is no problem at the moment," adding that "there is a good relationship with the Turkish side at the present time, for the purpose of creating bridges of understanding on the water share."

"Turkish side meetings are ongoing, and there will be a meeting soon next February, where a Turkish delegation will visit Iraq for this purpose," the minister continued.
