Al-Sudani and Rashid affirm the prevention of encroachments on Iraqi lands and national sovereignty

    The Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia'a Al-Sudani, confirmed today, Thursday, and the President of the Republic, Abd al-Latif Jamal Rashid, to prevent encroachments on Iraqi lands and national sovereignty.

    The media office of the Prime Minister stated, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia' al-Sudani, met this evening, Thursday, the President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, and during the meeting they discussed the political, security, economic and environmental conditions in the country, and emphasized To support the government's efforts in implementing its program, in accordance with the priorities of establishing security and stability and meeting the needs of citizens, in order to achieve sustainable development.

    The statement added: "The preparations for holding provincial elections at the end of this year were also discussed, and the importance of Iraqi participation in this democratic practice, and work to ensure its transparency and integrity.".

    The statement continued, "The Presidents of the Republic and the Council of Ministers discussed border security, as it was confirmed to prevent transgression on Iraqi lands and national sovereignty, in addition to discussing the water crisis in the country and its repercussions on the lives of citizens."

    He pointed out that "the meeting reviewed the latest developments and developments at the regional and international levels, and the role of Iraq in converging views and enhancing security and peace among the countries of the region."
