Supreme Judicial Council Hosts Presidencies Meeting to Deliberate Judicial Procedures on Key Public Issues

    President of the Supreme Judicial Council, Judge Dr. Faiq Zidan, hosted today, a meeting of the presidencies. In attendance were His Excellency the President of the Republic, Dr. Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, Prime Minister Mr. Mohammed S. Al-Sudani, and Speaker of Parliament, Mr. Mohammed Al-Halbousi. The purpose of the meeting was to deliberate on judicial and legal procedures pertaining to critical national matters.
     
    The meeting reviewed the legal aspects of the outcomes from the security dialogue between Iraq and the United States. This encompassed discussions on the future of the international coalition's presence and bilateral security collaboration, all aligned with constitutional and legal frameworks. Additionally, the meeting covered the advancement of the government program's implementation. This included strides in sustainable development, infrastructure enhancement, service improvements, and enhancing the quality of citizens' services by executive entities.
     
    The meeting addressed judicial protocols within the security sector. Deliberations centered on strategies to bolster Iraq's border security, enhance the operational capacity of the security forces, and safeguard border regions and inhabitants from potential aggressions or military operations. The meeting highlighted the comprehensive endeavors of our diverse armed forces to pursue terrorist elements and ensure security and stability across the nation. Emphasis was placed on the pivotal role of government authorities collaboration in the fight against corruption, underpinning government and judicial procedures in this regard. The meeting addressed legislation and laws submitted to the Council of Representatives, seeking the judiciary's perspective on legal texts containing judicial procedures in their stipulations.
     
    The meeting entailed discussions on Iraq's regional and global relations, emphasizing the significance of positive reciprocal visits with brotherly and friendly nations. There was a commitment to leveraging the outcomes of these visits for the betterment of Iraq's interests.
