Sayyed Al-Hakim urges the parliament to legislate laws to ensure the rights of women, the family and the elderly

The head of the National Wisdom Movement, Sayyed Ammar al-Hakim, confirmed on Saturday, that the elections are the safe solution for any change in Iraq.
 
“The elections are the peaceful solution, the safe option, and the effective method for making any change in the country,” stated Al-Hakim in his speech at the Islamic Day Conference for the Elimination of Violence against Women, which was attended by the Iraqi News Agency (INA). Pointing out that "the decision is in the hands of the voter, and without those safe and sound solutions, loss, dispersion and the unknown will be the characteristics of the inevitable destiny."
 
Al-Hakim called on "Iraqis not to listen to the voices of boycott or calls to underestimate the effectiveness of the elections and their decisive role in choosing who represents them in managing local governments in a way that achieves the required balance in the country."
 
He also noted out that "The presence of large numbers of parties and electoral alliances, and their entry into the field of electoral competition, indicates the correctness of the course of our political system, but that alone is not enough without the will of the citizen and his responsible awareness in choosing the right one to represent him in the centers of power and decision-making,” stressing that "the fittest, fairest and strongest must be chosen to complete the path of construction and reconstruction in our country.
