MOFA issues a statement of solidarity with the United Nations on the anniversary of attack on its HQ in Baghdad

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs-MOFA issued on Saturday, a statement of solidarity with the United Nations on the twentieth anniversary of the attack on its HQ in Baghdad in 2003.
 
"MOFA expresses its solidarity with the United Nations and its operating agencies, on the twentieth anniversary on the twentieth anniversary of the attack on its HQ in Baghdad in 2003, which resulted in the killing of twenty-two of its employees," The ministry's spokesman, Ahmed Al-Sahhaf, said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
 
Al-Sahhaf added, "This incident brings us back to the importance of standing up to strengthen our humanitarian responses, whatever the circumstances. Terrorism targets all of us, and it is our joint responsibility to confront it and continue our joint work to undermine the influence of its ideology everywhere."
 
He pointed out that "the Ministry of Foreign Affairs highly values these sacrifices," calling for "more joint action on World Humanitarian Day."
