Al-Sahaf: The Iraqi embassy is following up the death of two Iraqis on the Turkish-Bulgarian border

Foreign ministry spokesman Ahmed Al-Sahaf confirmed on Sunday that the Iraqi Embassy in Bulgaria is following up the death of two Iraqis on the Turkish-Bulgarian border.

"The embassy of the Republic of Iraq to Bulgaria is following up with the authorities and the Bulgarian border guard on the death of two Iraqis on the Turkish-Bulgarian border, as they left Turkey for Bulgaria towards European countries, illegally," Al-Sahaf told the Iraqi News Agency INA.

He explained that " The embassy received an appeal from the families of the victims," stressing that "the embassy sent the consul to the scene of the incident in the Bulgarian city of Burgas to coordinate with the border police and find out the causes of the incident, and facilitate the procedures for their transfer to Iraq."
