Oil: Total projects will be completed in 2028 and 2029

The Ministry of Oil announced on Sunday, in detail the four projects whose contracts were recently signed with the French company Total, and while it confirmed that it will achieve, in the first and second phases, 600 million cubic feet of gas, it set an appointment for its completion.
 
The Director General of the Department of Studies, Planning and Follow-up at the Ministry, Naseer Aziz Jabbar, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The four projects whose contracts were signed with the French company Total are considered among the strategic projects that have completed all their studies," noting that "these projects will be achieved as a first stage in the range of 300 million standard cubic feet of gas.”
 
He added, "In the second phase, it will become 600 million standard cubic feet of gas," noting that "this will not achieve sufficiency in gas due to the shortage in supplying power stations."
 
Jabbar stated, "These projects will be completed during the years 2028 and 2029," pointing out that "the government will participate in them with a value of one billion and 400 million dollars, which is its share of these projects."
 
He indicated, "The volume of investments is divided among four projects, each project has its own budget, as the gas project is worth one billion and 600 million dollars, the solar energy project is about 700 million dollars, and the sea water project is worth 3 and a half billion dollars," pointing out, " All the construction of these projects will be about $ 13 billion in investments over the next 20 years.
