The National Wisdom Movement confirmed, on Wednesday, that the government is continuing to fight corruption in a real way under the penalty of the law and institutions.

A member of the movement, Rahim al-Aboudi, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA):"targeting corruption does not concern a particular province, institution or specific people, but it is directed to all corrupt regardless of political orientation, governorate, religion and sect.

"There should be no tendency towards preserving the corrupt or adopting and defending them," al-Aboudi stressed, explaining that "the government continues to fight corruption in a real way and under the penalty of the law and institutions.

"Iraqi society is the most affected by corruption, and the people's support for the government is the factor of success in eliminating corruption, and the fight must be real, not Media, and justice must be present in all institutions,"he added.

He added that "the files of corruption are large and numerous in all successive governments and the legacy that this government bears is large, and law and justice must be present in the direction of any file, and that there is no one higher than the law, and there is no fighting and political compliments or political parties that support those convicted in corruption files".
