Iraq: Adhering to UN resolutions, supporting all peaceful means to achieve Palestinian people demands

President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, condemned the Zionist military operation in the Palestinian city of Jenin, stressing solidarity with the Palestinian people.

"At a time when we condemn the Israeli military operation in the Palestinian city of Jenin, we renew our solidarity with the Palestinian people, we offer condolences to the families of the victims, and we pray to the Almighty for all the wounded for a speedy recovery," said Rashid in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.

"The Republic of Iraq affirms its adherence to United Nations resolutions and supports all peaceful means to achieve the demands of the Palestinian people," he noted, calling on "the international community to express its commitment to the decisions that lead to the establishment of peace and stability in the Middle East region, achieving a just peace and providing urgent assistance to the Palestinian people to overcome the effects of the recent military operations."

He called on "the leaders and governments of the countries of the region to expedite the launch of a political path that puts an end to the cycle of violence and stops the violations and threats that civilians have faced for decades. This will only be possible by recognizing the rights of the Palestinian people and being achieved by peaceful means."
