Mohamed Salah scored on his return to the starting XI as Liverpool secured a 4-2 victory over Tottenham at Anfield.

The Reds went into the game knowing they had consolidated third in the Premier League table following Aston Villa's 1-0 defeat to Brighton earlier today.
And Salah, who argued with Jurgen Klopp during Liverpool's 2-2 draw with West Ham last time out, broke the deadlock in the 16th minute with a pinpoint header.
Further goals from Andy Robertson, Cody Gakpo and Harry Elliott then consigned Ange Postecoglou's side to a catastrophic defeat, even if Richarlison and Son Heung-min were able to net consolations. GB News now takes a look at four observations from the clash on Merseyside.
It's been a difficult eight days for Salah ever since his strop during Liverpool's 2-2 draw with West Ham at the London Stadium.

But his goal on Sunday, and the way he took it, shows there's still plenty of life in the Egypt international.

Salah hasn't been at his best over the past few weeks, which is exactly why Klopp dropped him in the first place.

Yet he remains a vital asset for the Reds and, though he's admittedly lost some of the speed of old, he's still very much a player worth keeping.

Salah caused problems with his movement and also played a role in Robertson's goal. This time around, he's making the headlines for all the right reasons.
Tottenham had a bright start to the season but the way they crumbled against Liverpool, despite a late fightback, will alarm manager Postecoglou and add to his woes in north London.

And some Spurs fans on X want the popular Australian sacked, with the north London giants losing a fourth match in a row after previous defeats to Newcastle, Arsenal and Chelsea.
