Two of Daesh and a human trafficker in Salah al-Din and Baghdad were overthrown

The General Directorate of Intelligence and Security announced the overthrow of two Daesh elements in Salah al-Din and the arrest of a foreign human trafficker in Baghdad.

"With a qualitative and proactive operation, through which the detachments of the Salah al-Din Intelligence and Security Directorate affiliated to the General Directorate of Intelligence and Security at the Ministry of Defense were able to overthrow two elements belonging to the terrorist gangs of Daesh, during their presence in the Dhuluiya district, Salah al-Din. Two arrest warrants were issued against them in accordance with the provisions of Article (1/4) of terrorism, as they are among the targets of the Directorate above," stated the Directorate in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.

The statement included, "On the other hand, the detachments of Baghdad Intelligence and Security Directorate, affiliated to the same directorate, arrested a foreign suspect who leads a network specialized in human trafficking by bringing foreigners into the country illegally and forging residence seals, where the directorate's detachments arrested (13) of foreign nationality that were hiding in one of the orchards in Jadriya as Legal measures were taken."
