A team following up the implementation of the National Strategy for Integrity and Anti-Corruption visited the headquarters of the Iraqi Media Network (IMN) to follow up on the implementation of the Anti-Corruption Strategy 2021-2024.
The head of the follow-up team for the implementation of the national strategy for integrity and anti-corruption in the ministries and governorates, Wissam Hussein, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "among the important indicators related to the implementation of the national strategy is the citizen satisfaction index, and that there is media coordination between the media authority of the Integrity Commission to survey citizen satisfaction from the concerned party, such as completing transactions and cases of extortion or bribery, indicating that the media has a great role in revealing facts.”
He added, "The Iraqi Media Network has an important role in covering all ministries, presenting the risks of corruption, and developing a mechanism to reduce these phenomena to improve the institution's performance in service of the public interest."
For her part, the Director of Media of the Office of Financial Supervision, Janan Jassem, explained that "the team discussed with the Iraqi Media Network the phenomena that diagnose corruption and the internal factors of those phenomena, treatments and visions, as well as possible means to reduce these phenomena and the measures supposed to be taken by the Iraqi Media Network."
She added, "The aim of this meeting is to follow up the ministerial teams of each party and the extent of their follow-up to the strategy developed by the anti-corruption strategy team."
