Iraq and Jordan discuss joint work within atomic energy field

    The Minister of Higher Education, Head of the Iraqi Atomic Energy Commission, Naeem Al-Aboudi, discussed with his Jordanian counterpart joint work projects between the two countries' experts in the field of atomic energy in terms of its scientific and academic uses.

    Al-Aboudi, held a meeting with his counterpart, the head of the Jordanian Atomic Energy Authority, Khalid Touqan, as they discussed prospects for coordination regarding scientific research, training, visits and mutual programs, according to a statement by the Ministry of Education, received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.

    Al-Aboudi expressed his thanks to the President of the Jordanian Atomic Energy Commission for the kind invitation to visit the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the facilities of the Jordanian Atomic Energy Commission, which are witnessing important indicators in the field of radioactive isotopes production, uranium mining, tests and calibrations conducted by specialized laboratories, and hosting regional and international events.

    During the joint meeting, he affirmed the keenness of the Iraqi Atomic Energy Commission and its staff to frame the cooperation space and the projects it includes that serve the peaceful energy file of the two countries in the research and scientific fields as well as build productive partnerships with brotherly and friendly countries.
