Baghdad operations reveal 3 elements after the killing of the governor north of the capital by ISIS

    The commander of Baghdad operations, Lieutenant General Ahmed Salim, revealed on Wednesday,  3 important elements for the killing of the governor of northern Baghdad by the terrorist ISIS gangs, called Adnan Al-Luhaibi.

    Lieutenant General Salim told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The killing of the so-called governor of Baghdad by the fire of the Baghdad operations units represented by the 23rd Infantry Brigade - the 6th Division and the Tarmiya Mobilization Regiment has a great impact and in several directions and gains the governor of northern Baghdad has these gangs in this area that extends from Taji to Salah al-Din province to Dujail district ."

    He added, "ISIS' loss of this element will cause it to lose command and control, and cause confusion in the matter of communicating orders between its members, as it is a link between the terrorist detachments in this sector and their references from which they receive orders."

    He continued, "ISIS is currently being subjected to multiple strikes in various sectors, including Diyala and Kirkuk, and not only in northern Baghdad, and it is bringing down its important leaders, and any loss of its leadership elements will affect it."

    He pointed out that "the second element  is moral, as the killing of the governor of northern Baghdad will affect the morale of the terrorist elements and lead to paralysis and an attempt to reorganize, as well as the third aspect is raising the morale of our fighters from the security forces and intelligence agencies and encouraging them to continue pursuing ISIS remnants north of Baghdad and the rest of the sectors."

    He stressed that "the sector of operations north of Baghdad is currently witnessing stability, especially after the issuance of the orders of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Muhammad Shia' al-Sudani, to open departments and the continuation of projects in this sector, which enhances stability and security, and whenever there is economic activity, stability will be strengthened."

    He pointed out that "Baghdad Operations has a plan in northern Baghdad to reopen the sectors in order to fully secure the sector."

    Earlier, the Security Media Cell announced the killing of the so-called governor, north of Baghdad, and 3 other terrorists within the Tarmiya district."

    The cell said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "A force of heroes in the 23rd Infantry Brigade of the 6th Division and the Tarmiya Mobilization Regiment managed to set up an elaborate ambush for ISIS terrorist gangs in the Tarmiya district, which resulted in the killing of (4) terrorists, including what The governor of north Baghdad is called (Adnan Al-Lahibi)."
