Iraq and Pakistan are discussing procedures for granting entry visas

    The Minister of Interior, Abdul Amir Al-Shammari, discussed today, Tuesday, with the Pakistani Foreign Minister, Bilawal the organization of procedures for granting entry visas to the Pakistani community during the visiting seasons and in the regular periods.
     
     
    The ministry said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The Minister of Interior, Abdul al-Amir al-Shammari, met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Bilawal, and at the beginning of the meeting he welcomed his guest and his accompanying delegation, and discussed with him ways to enhance prospects for bilateral cooperation and coordination between the two friendly countries."
      "The influx of Pakistani visitors to the holy city of Karbala during the Arbaeen visit and other religious places was discussed."
    According to the statement "the two sides confirmed their keenness to solve all obstacles to performing the visit ceremonies and organizing bilateral meetings between the Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq in Pakistan and his Pakistani counterpart in Baghdad in this regard. They also discussed organizing procedures for granting entry visas to the Pakistani community during the visiting seasons and in the regular periods."
    Minister Al-Shammari directed, according to the statement, to "cooperate and benefit from the advanced expertise of the Pakistani side regarding intelligence work and drones, as well as other security aspects, due to the development that the Republic of Pakistan possesses in security work."
    For his part, the Pakistani Foreign Minister praised the "efforts of the security force to protect international delegations and communities, including Pakistani ones," appreciating "the Iraqi government program and its ability to maintain security and peace."
