Prime Minister Mohammed S. Al-Sudani, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, inaugurated the 6th Victory Leaders Campaign.
The media office of the prime minster said in a statement, received by The Iraqi News Agency (INA), that “This campaign, initiated by the Ministry of Defense, aims to repair and maintain armored military vehicles across different military units”.
“The prime minster received a comprehensive briefing on the military display, featuring models of military vehicles and equipment involved in the repair campaign. He also observed the annual production capacity of the factories. Additionally, he toured diverse military units across all branches to assess their readiness, sustainability, and overall preparedness”, the statement added.
During the visit, Al-Sudani emphasized the significance of sustaining the work and commended the remarkable efforts in the repair plants. He also highlighted the importance of providing necessary resources to enhance their production capabilities.
“The Prime Minister instructed his team to expedite the establishment of a production line for HMMWV (Humvee) vehicles, based on the existing model. He also ordered the immediate provision of this model to military units for identifying strengths and weaknesses, facilitating necessary improvements during the manufacturing,” the statement continued.
The campaign encompasses the repair and maintenance of a significant quantity of tanks, armored vehicles, specialized vehicles, as well as service and technical vehicles.
