DMI arrests a person committed a kidnapping and murder in Basra

The Directorate of Military Intelligence DMI announced, on Sunday, the arrest of a person who committed a kidnapping and murder in Basra province.

A statement by the Directorate received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) said that "in light of accurate intelligence information of the Basra Operations Command Department of the Military Intelligence Directorate and in cooperation with intelligence, a force from the command brigade and a force from the first regiment of the 98th Brigade and after searching, and chasing, an accused person was arrested within (4 hours) after he kidnapped and killed a victim who was an employee of the South Oil Company.”

It explained, "The felon, shot the kidnapped man and injured him with four gunshots which killed him near Sayed Nour Bridge in the Al-Dawaan area of Al-Nukwa's area to Al-Nashwa district," stressing "handing him over to the demanding party."
