Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Ahmed Al-Asadi announced on Monday, that Iraq will host the 50th session of Arab Labor Organization (ALO) conference during the next year 2024, while he indicated that Iraq will also host the Arab Summit Conference for the year 2025.
Al-Asadi told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "Iraq's participation in the 49th session of the ALO conference, this time Iraq was the chairman of the Arab Organization's board of directors."
He pointed out, "Iraq focused in his speech on the efforts made by the Ministry of Labor at the two levels: work and social affairs, where we talked about the great inclusion and the social research campaign that the Ministry carried out during the past months, and the inclusion of millions of families with social assistance, and the legislation of the security retirement law." We have demonstrated its great importance, and we have also welcomed the return of the Syrian Republic to its Arab incubator and to the Arab arena.”
He added, "We submitted an official request for Iraq to host the fiftieth conference of the ALO next year, and we found the response from the Secretary-General of the organization and the ministers of labor," pointing out, "The year 2024 will be the year of Iraq hosting the conference of the Arab Labor Organization, just as the year 2025 will be the year of hosting Iraq for the next Arab Summit.”
He explained, "The conference includes the three social partners of governments, employers, and workers, and points will be presented that will discuss these three activities and activate the decisions taken by the organization in the previous conference or its previous sessions of the Board of Directors."
He continued, "The organization will issue decisions for the Ministry of Labor in the Arab countries to implement and implement them, and to unify the Arab vision with regard to the International Labor Organization conference that will be held in Geneva next month."
