The Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, confirmed today, Friday, that the Jeddah summit is an opportunity to restore Arab issues that were left to others a long time ago.
Aboul Gheit said during his speech at the Arab summit in Jeddah, which was followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The Arab League welcomes the agreement concluded between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Iran," pointing out that "the Jeddah summit is an opportunity to restore Arab issues that were left to others a long time ago.".
He pointed to "the importance of giving the Palestinian cause a priority and facing the challenges that the Palestinian people suffer from."
