A security meeting between JOC and the Peshmerga to activate the committees and enhance security

    The Joint Operations Command (JOC) announced on Tuesday, the holding of a security meeting with the Peshmerga forces to activate the committees and cooperate to enhance security, while it indicated that the terrorist ISIS gangs have very few remnants in the regions of Diyala, Tuz Khurmatu and Kirkuk.

    The Deputy Commander of Joint Operations, Lieutenant General Qais Al-Muhammadawi, said in a press conference he held with the Commander of the Seventy Forces in the Peshmerga, Mustafa Jawresh, in the city of Sulaymaniyah, and was attended by the correspondent of the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "Today, we conducted a visit accompanied by the Commander of the Ground Forces and the Operations Commands of Diyala, Tuz Khurmato, and Kirkuk, and the staff bodies in the Operations Commands the Joint Command, the Land Forces Command, and representatives from the Army Aviation and the Air Force at the headquarters of the Seventy Forces in the Peshmerga in Sulaymaniyah, and we held a meeting with the Commander of the Seventy Forces, Mustafa Jawresh, for the purpose of maintaining effective and fruitful coordination on the ground, exchanging information, and implementing plans related to activating the relevant committees and continuous cooperation at all levels in areas of common interest.”


    He added, "The directives of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces are very clear in this regard, which is that the sectors be one, our destiny, and our goal is one," noting that "ISIS terrorist gangs have very few detachments and remnants in areas of common interest, whether in Diyala, the Tuz Khurmato sector, or Kirkuk." He explained that "things always go right, and we have begun to reap the fruits of cooperation."

    He stated that "our ambition is greater with the site's training process and the exchange of experiences, so that our sectors are one and have one goal."
