Meetings of the Arab expert group concerned with evaluating and updating the Arab media movement plan abroad were held at the headquarters of the Arab League, with the participation of the Iraqi Media Network(IMN).

The representative of IMN in the meetings, Dr. Sabah Alal Zayer, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the meeting was devoted to evaluating and updating the plan, where the observations and views of the member states regarding it were discussed, and it was agreed to submit it to the next meeting of the Standing Committee for Arab Media."

He added, "The plan for Arab media action abroad is based on three main axes: the Palestinian cause and supporting it in the media, confronting the phenomenon of terrorism, and highlighting the correct image of Arabs and Muslims abroad."

He explained that "this plan was put forward by Arab information ministers in previous years with the aim of upgrading the role of the media and employing it in order to achieve a wide spread of the Arab point of view, which supports and advocates Arab causes abroad, especially the Palestinian cause," noting that "that plan was updated in 2006 and 2014 according to new projects."

He stressed that "today's meetings focused on the views of a number of Arab countries on the final version of the observatory project and the integrated platform, and submitted them to the meetings of the Standing Committee for Arab Media and the 53rd session of the Council of Arab Information Ministers, to be held in the Kingdom of Morocco next June."
