Sudan: We will provide assistance for the evacuation of nationals and missions

    The Sudanese army announced, today, Saturday, the approval of its commander, Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, to provide the necessary assistance to secure the evacuation of nationals of a number of countries and their diplomatic missions from the country, following the ongoing clashes between the army and the Rapid Support Forces.

    The General Command of the Armed Forces said in a statement: "It is expected that the process of evacuating all missions whose countries request this will begin in the coming hours.".

    He added, "The United States, Britain, France and China will evacuate their diplomats and nationals by air with military transport planes belonging to their armed forces from Khartoum," pointing out that "it is expected to start immediately.".

    "Earlier, the Saudi mission was evacuated by land to Port Sudan and from there by air to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the departure of the Jordanian mission will be secured at a later time in the same way."
