Al-Sahhaf: Iraq renews its position on return of Syria to the Arab League

Foreign Ministry spokesman Ahmed Al-Sahhaf confirmed that Iraq has renewed its firm position on Syria's return to the Arab League.

Al-Sahhaf told the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "during the consultative meeting in Jeddah, we renewed Iraq's firm and supportive position for Syria's return to Arab League."

Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced Earlier, the arrival of its Minister, Fuad Hussein, to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to participate in the consultative meeting of the GCC countries, Jordan and Egypt.

The ministry said, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Fuad Hussein arrived in Jeddah to participate in the ministerial consultative meeting hosted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, with the participation of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, Iraq, and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the Arab Republic of Egypt."
