Al-Sudani inaugurates the strategic Karbala Oil Refinery

Prime Minister Mohammed S. Al-Sudani inaugurated on Saturday, the strategic Karbala Oil Refinery.

The Media Office of the Prime Minister said in a statement, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that “Prime Minister Mr. Mohammed S. Al-Sudani inaugurated the strategic Karbala Oil Refinery with a production capacity of 140,000bpd.”

Al-Sudani said in a statement, followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The government put raising the production capacity of refineries at the top of its priorities by supporting and completing the complementary production units under construction and encouraging investment in the refining sector to establish modern refineries with advanced technical specifications in order to reach the stage of shifting from importing to exporting to achieve the highest added value of the exported barrel”.
