The Intelligence Agency announced today, Sunday, the arrest of a dangerous gang that carried out organized crimes in Babylon.
The agency said, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "a continuation of the qualitative intelligence operations carried out by the Federal Intelligence and Investigation Agency in the Ministry of Interior to reduce the activity of organized crime gangs that work to target safe citizens."
A gang of armed robbery was pursued in Babil Governorate, consisting of three suspects who carried out several serious crimes, wearing military uniforms to delude citizens that they are security forces.
The agency added, "After continuously following them up and setting up an ambush, they were arrested, and they confessed to their crimes, and legal measures were taken against them."
