The Military Intelligence Directorate announced on Monday, capturing 11 terrorists in Baghdad, Kirkuk, Maysan, and Salah al-Din.
A statement of the Directorate, which was received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that, "With pre-emptive operations and efforts of the department and people (intelligence and security), the Maysan Operations Command, the advanced headquarters of Kirkuk, and the fourteenth and seventeenth divisions, in cooperation with intelligence and a force from the brigades of those commands, a force from the General Directorate of Intelligence and Security, and a force from Amerli Intelligence and Counter-Terrorism Ambushes were set up in separate areas of the same provinces, which resulted in the arrest of (11) terrorists from the terrorist gangs of ISIS."
The statement added, "The terrorists, wanted by the judiciary in accordance with the provisions of Article 4, are terrorism in the districts of Shirqat, Al-Majar Al-Kabir, and the districts of Al-Rasheed and Amerli, and they were working within the criminal organization of various types," stressing that "they were handed over to the requesting authorities in accordance with the principles."
